Clock - Girard Perregaux dealer's display desk clock, electromechanical, circa 1960, 113mm x 166mm x 62mm tall, black painted gilt brass case with applied gilt hobnail patterns, original silvered dial with applied gold baton indices, 15J, cal 5000, hack mechanism at 6 to set the time accurately, case s#3504, mvt s#961009. An incredibly rare piece of Girard Perregaux history, these would have been a common sight at your local GP dealer back in the day. A wonderful piece for the collector who seemingly has everything but not "everything."
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, recently reworked to run on a modern battery pack versus the original specialty batteries, mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, no oxide; nearly flawless dial with very light surface spotting; nearly mint hands; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings; back crown has oxidized; good glass crystal.
